The 2022 Marc Colin et Ses Fils Bourgogne Chardonnay is an unusually serious 100% Chardonnay from Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, produced by the renowned Saint-Aubin-based Domaine Marc Colin. Founded in the 1970s, the domaine is today run by Caroline and Damien Colin, farming approximately 11.5 hectares principally across Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay. What makes this Bourgogne Blanc particularly interesting is the origin of the fruit: the 2022 is assembled from three parcels in Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin. Jasper Morris MW specifically noted that the Saint-Aubin component provides the wine's energetic freshness, while the other parcels contribute additional body and depth.
