The 2024 Wittmann Kirchspiel Riesling Grosses Gewächs is a dry, single-vineyard Riesling from Westhofen in Rheinhessen. Grown on steep east to southeast-facing slopes rich in clay marl and limestone, it shows lemon, white peach and yellow plum with dried herbs, fennel and subtle chalky mineral notes.
On the palate, it is concentrated yet finely balanced, with vibrant acidity and a firm, chalky texture. Citrus and stone fruit are joined by savoury herbal notes and pronounced limestone minerality, leading to a long, focused finish. The cool 2024 vintage gives the wine excellent freshness and strong ageing potential.
