The 2024 Wittmann Aulerde Riesling Grosses Gewächs is a dry, single-vineyard Riesling from Westhofen in Rheinhessen. Produced from nearly 70-year-old vines in Wittmann’s warmest site, it shows Mirabelle plum, white peach and citrus with white florals, liquorice and subtle spice. The heavy clay-marl, loess and limestone soils contribute to its distinctive structure.
On the palate, it is dry and concentrated with bright acidity, ripe yellow fruit and a firm mineral backbone.
