TONIC

In contemporary Australian winemaking, the focus has shifted towards premium table wines, and the production of traditional tonic wines has significantly declined. However, the term “Tonic Wines” has been adopted by a modern winery in South Australia. Founded by winemaker Glenn Barry, Tonic Wines is a small-batch producer sourcing grapes from regions such as the Clare Valley, Barossa Valley, and McLaren Vale. Despite the name, their offerings are not tonic wines in the traditional sense but are instead focused on creating distinctive varietal wines like Chardonnay, Grenache, and Shiraz.
