The 2024 Moorooduc Estate Robinson Vineyard Pinot Noir is a refined single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. The Robinson Vineyard is planted to MV6 and 777 Pinot Noir clones and has long been an important component of Moorooduc Estate’s single-vineyard collection. The fruit is traditionally hand-picked, destemmed and naturally fermented in open fermenters before maturation in French oak, allowing the individual character of the vineyard to remain at the forefront.
On the palate, the wine shows vibrant red cherry, raspberry and plum fruit layered with savoury spice, dried herbs and subtle earthy complexity. Bright acidity brings freshness and energy, while Moorooduc’s characteristic firm yet silky tannins provide structure and length. The Robinson Vineyard has historically produced Pinot Noir with a particularly attractive combination of pure red fruit and savoury depth, resulting in a style that is generous and textural while retaining excellent balance and definition.
