Le Ragnaie is one of the most respected traditional producers in Montalcino, crafting elegant and terroir-driven expressions of Brunello di Montalcino. Founded by Riccardo Campinoti, the estate is known for its commitment to organic viticulture and minimal-intervention winemaking, allowing the purity of Sangiovese to shine.

The vineyards of Le Ragnaie are among the highest in the entire Montalcino appellation, with parcels spread across three distinct zones: the high-altitude vineyards around the winery near Montalcino town, the warmer southern site of Petroso, and the cooler eastern vineyards of Castelnuovo dell’Abate. This diversity allows the estate to craft Brunello wines that showcase remarkable balance, structure, and aromatic complexity.

In the cellar, fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts, and the wines are aged in large Slavonian oak botti, preserving the transparency and finesse of Sangiovese. The resulting wines are refined, age-worthy, and deeply expressive of Montalcino’s varied terroirs.
