The 2015 Fratelli Seghesio Barolo La Villa is a beautifully mature expression of Nebbiolo from Serralunga d'Alba, one of Barolo's most structured and age-worthy communes. Fratelli Seghesio is a historic family estate in the Langhe, with roots stretching back more than a century, and La Villa is among its most distinctive Barolo bottlings.
The 2015 vintage was an excellent year in Barolo, producing wines with ripe fruit, strong tannins and excellent aromatic complexity. After more than a decade in bottle, the 2015 is now beginning to enter a particularly rewarding drinking phase, where the youthful fruit is starting to give way to classic Nebbiolo tertiary character.
