The Egly-Ouriet Grand Cru Brut NV Champagne is widely regarded as one of the finest non-vintage Champagnes in the world and a benchmark for grower Champagne. Produced by Domaine Egly-Ouriet in the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay, the estate has earned a cult following under the meticulous guidance of Francis Egly. Unlike many large Champagne houses that rely on blending across numerous villages, Egly-Ouriet focuses almost exclusively on old-vine Grand Cru vineyards, exceptionally low yields and extended lees ageing. The result is a Champagne of extraordinary depth, vinous character and precision that consistently rivals many prestige cuvées. The Grand Cru Brut is typically composed of around 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, with a significant proportion of reserve wines and extended ageing on lees before disgorgement, producing remarkable complexity and texture. It is regularly awarded 95–97 points by leading critics, including Antonio Galloni (Vinous) and William Kelley (The Wine Advocate).
