DOMAINE SAUMAIZE MICHELIN
Domaine Saumaize-Michelin is a highly regarded family-run estate in Vergisson, Mâconnais, within the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation of Burgundy, France. Known for producing exceptional Chardonnay, the domaine focuses on terroir-driven wines that highlight the limestone-rich soils of the region. Founded by Roger Saumaize, the winery is now managed by Roger and Christine Saumaize, along with their son Vivien.
The estate practices biodynamic and organic farming, ensuring minimal intervention to preserve the purity of the fruit. The vineyards, primarily located in Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, and Mâcon-Vergisson, benefit from the region’s steep slopes and unique limestone soils, which contribute to the wines’ minerality, tension, and depth.
