CHATEAU DE PIBARNON
Château de Pibarnon is a prestigious wine estate situated in the Bandol appellation of Provence, France. Established in 1977 by Henri and Catherine de Saint Victor, the estate has become renowned for producing some of the finest Mourvèdre-based wines in the region .
The vineyards are perched atop La Colline du Télégraphe, the highest point in Bandol at 300 meters above sea level, offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean. This elevation, combined with the unique Triassic limestone soils, contributes to the distinctive character of Pibarnon’s wines, imparting freshness, minerality, and elegance .
Pibarnon’s flagship wine, the Bandol Rouge, is a blend of 90% Mourvèdre and 10% Grenache. It is celebrated for its depth, structure, and aging potential, often described as one of the great mountain Bandols . The estate also produces a notable Bandol Rosé, typically comprising 65% Mourvèdre and 35% Cinsault, known for its complexity and balance .
