CHATEAU ANGELUS

Château Angélus is a prestigious winery located in the Saint-Émilion appellation on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. Owned by the Boüard de Laforest family for eight generations, the estate spans 23.4 hectares, primarily planted with 51% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. Renowned for its rich and opulent wines, Château Angélus has become a symbol of excellence in Bordeaux winemaking. Its wines often exhibit notes of redcurrants, blueberries, sandalwood, and dried flowers, with exceptional aging potential that makes them both a sensory delight and a valuable investment.

The estate produces several wines, including its flagship Grand Vin, Château Angélus, and its second wine, Carillon d’Angélus, introduced in 1987. In 2022, they expanded their portfolio with a fourth label, Tempo d’Angélus, a Bordeaux AOP wine sourced from newly acquired plots in the Côtes de Bordeaux Castillon area. Château Angélus achieved Premier Grand Cru Classé (B) status in 1996 and was further elevated to Premier Grand Cru Classé (A) in 2012, though the estate voluntarily withdrew from the classification in 2021. With its commitment to quality and a legacy of innovation, Château Angélus continues to be celebrated worldwide.
