BILLAUD SIMON

Domaine Billaud-Simon, established in 1815 by Charles Louis Noël Billaud, is a renowned winery located in Chablis, Burgundy, France. The estate is celebrated for producing exceptional Chablis wines that embody sophistication, balance, and pure Chardonnay expression.

The domaine encompasses approximately 17 hectares of vineyards, including prestigious Grand Cru sites such as Les Clos, Les Preuses, Vaudésir, and Les Blanchots, as well as notable Premier Cru vineyards like Montée de Tonnerre, Mont de Milieu, Fourchaume, and Vaillons. This diverse range of terroirs contributes to the distinctive mineral-driven character of their wines.

Billaud-Simon’s winemaking philosophy focuses on crafting crisp, mineral-laden Chablis with finesse, purity, and elegance. Their wines are enjoyable in their youth yet possess excellent aging potential, with Grand Cru offerings typically improving over a decade or more.

In 2014, Domaine Billaud-Simon was acquired by the Faiveley family, a prominent name in Burgundy’s wine industry. Under their stewardship, the estate continues to uphold its tradition of excellence, producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of Chablis.
