ARGIANO

Argiano is one of the oldest and most esteemed estates in Montalcino, with a history dating back to 1580. Nestled in the southern part of the Brunello zone, the estate spans over 100 hectares, with 57 planted to vines—including prime Sangiovese Grosso used for Brunello production.

While Argiano has long been known for its historical significance, the estate underwent a major revival in recent years under new ownership. With the guidance of renowned oenologist Alberto Antonini, Argiano has returned to the top tier of Brunello producers, emphasizing elegance, terroir expression, and organic farming.

Argiano’s Brunello combines the power of southern Montalcino with a refined, almost Burgundian finesse. Long aging in large Slavonian oak casks lends structure without overwhelming the fruit, allowing the Sangiovese character to shine.
