2021 Louis Jadot Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is a powerful and opulent expression of one of Burgundy’s most prestigious Chardonnay vineyards, located between Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune. This legendary Grand Cru site sits just below the famed Montrachet vineyard and is known for producing some of the richest and most structured white wines in Burgundy.
The 2021 vintage reveals aromas of ripe yellow peach, citrus blossom and toasted hazelnut layered with hints of brioche and vanilla. On the palate it is full-bodied and concentrated, with remarkable depth, creamy texture and a long mineral finish. Aged in oak for around 18 months, this Grand Cru Chardonnay combines power with precision and offers outstanding ageing potential for 10–20 years.
Rich, complex and intensely expressive, Bâtard-Montrachet remains one of the great collectible white Burgundies and a benchmark for Grand Cru Chardonnay.
