MMAD VINEYARD
MMAD Vineyard is a boutique Australian wine producer based in the Blewitt Springs subregion of McLaren Vale, South Australia. Founded by four highly respected figures in Australian wine — Taras Ochota, Michael Dhillon, Matt Harrop, and Adrian Hoffmann — the winery’s name MMAD represents the first initials of the founders.
The wines are sourced from the historic Hoffmann Vineyard, planted in 1939, on the sandy soils of Blewitt Springs. This distinctive terroir is known for producing aromatic, finely structured wines with remarkable freshness and purity. MMAD focuses on small-batch expressions of Grenache, Shiraz and Chenin Blanc, highlighting site transparency and minimal-intervention winemaking.
Despite being a relatively young project, MMAD Vineyard has quickly gained critical acclaim for its elegant and terroir-driven style. The wines combine the old-vine heritage of McLaren Vale with a modern, restrained approach, making MMAD one of the most exciting new producers in Australian fine wine.
