The 2024 MMAD Vineyard Blewitt Springs Grenache is an old-vine McLaren Vale Grenache from vines planted in 1939. Grown on fine Maslin sands over ironstone and cooled by south-westerly breezes from Gulf St Vincent, it shows red and blue berries, raspberry and cherry with lifted florals, black olive, anise and subtle savoury spice.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied and beautifully energetic, with juicy red berry fruit, fresh acidity and long, finely shaped tannins. Floral and savoury notes mingle with raspberry, cherry, black olive and gentle spice, while the wine maintains impressive intensity without becoming heavy. The finish is long, perfumed and finely structured, highlighting the combination of old-vine concentration and Blewitt Springs freshness.
