Sourced primarily from old-vine McLaren Vale vineyards, including sites in Blewitt Springs and McLaren Flat, the wine was fermented with a portion of whole bunches, left on skins for an extended period and matured in older oak. The result is a Grenache that emphasises fragrance, texture and vineyard character rather than sheer weight.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied and energetic, with flavours of raspberry, red plum and dark cherry layered with notes of orange peel, dried herbs and gentle spice.
