The 2009 Royal Tokaji Essencia (375ml) is one of the rarest and most extraordinary sweet wines in the world, made from the free-run juice of botrytised grapes. Intensely concentrated and often called "liquid gold", it represents the pinnacle of Tokaji. The nose is incredibly complex, showing apricot, orange marmalade, honey and exotic spice.
On the palate, it is ultra-rich and viscous, with immense sweetness perfectly balanced by vibrant acidity, leading to an almost endless finish. The style is unique, powerful and remarkably pure, with very low alcohol and unmatched ageing potential.
