The 2021 Kir-Yianni Ramnista Naoussa PDO is a classic Greek red made from 100% Xinomavro, selected from the estate’s Ramnista vineyard blocks in Naoussa. The nose shows cherry, sour cherry and plum with dried herbs, spice and subtle chocolate notes, capturing the savoury, aromatic character for which Xinomavro is known.
On the palate, it is medium-to-full bodied with vibrant acidity, concentrated red fruit and firm, structured tannins. The wine spends 16 months in 225- and 500-litre French oak barrels, bringing gentle vanilla, cedar and spice alongside the fruit. The finish is long, dry and persistent, with the structure to develop further in bottle.
