The 2025 Alois Lageder Alto Adige Pinot Grigio is a fresh, organically grown Italian white from selected vineyards around Magrè and Salorno in Alto Adige. The nose shows peach and melon with delicate floral notes, exotic spice and a fine mineral edge. Rocky, sandy and limestone-rich soils contribute to its clean, Alpine-influenced character.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied and dry with fresh acidity, ripe orchard and stone fruit and a gently textured feel. Temperature-controlled fermentation and around four months on lees in stainless steel preserve freshness while adding subtle weight, with a small portion fermented in contact with skins and stems for additional texture.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is a great choice for Pinot Grigio drinkers who enjoy fresh, dry Italian whites with more texture and mineral character. Best enjoyed young and chilled over the next 1–2 years. Pair with grilled prawns, fish, shellfish, roast chicken, mushroom dishes or antipasto.
