The 2024 Henschke Johann's Garden Grenache Blend Magnum (1500ml) is a Grenache-led Barossa Valley red produced from low-yielding old vines, presented here in a 1500ml Magnum. The blend is 60% Grenache and 40% Mataro, with aromas of raspberry, black cherry and plum layered with violet, lavender, nutmeg, herbs and subtle liquorice.
On the palate, it is rich and supple with redcurrant, pomegranate and rhubarb supported by lively acidity and fine-grained tannins. The varieties were vinified separately and matured for 10 months in predominantly seasoned oak hogsheads, retaining vibrant fruit while adding gentle savoury complexity and length.
