The 2024 Domaine Baudouin Millet La Perle Petit Chablis is a premium interpretation of Petit Chablis, crafted from nearly 40-year-old Chardonnay vines in Poilly-sur-Serein on the south-eastern edge of the Chablis region. Fermented in stainless steel and aged for nine months on fine lees with regular bâtonnage, this special cuvée offers greater texture and depth while preserving the freshness and mineral purity for which Chablis is renowned. The nose is bright and refined, revealing lemon zest, green apple and white peach layered with white flowers and chalky minerality.
On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied with crisp natural acidity and a beautifully rounded texture. Vibrant citrus and orchard fruit are complemented by subtle lees complexity and a saline mineral edge, leading to a long, clean finish with impressive precision and elegance. Richer and more layered than a classic Petit Chablis, it is a superb expression of the appellation.
