The 2023 Domaine Henri Germain Meursault Limozin is a distinguished Chardonnay from the renowned Limozin lieu-dit in Meursault, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy. Positioned just below the Premier Cru vineyards and bordering Les Charmes, Les Genevrières and Les Poruzots, this parcel of old vines planted in 1937 consistently produces one of the appellation's finest village-level Meursaults. The nose is generous and expressive, revealing aromas of ripe pear, white peach and citrus zest, layered with acacia blossom, toasted hazelnut and a refined mineral lift.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a satiny texture, vibrant acidity and remarkable concentration. Flavours of orchard fruit, lemon oil and ripe stone fruit are supported by a saline mineral core, leading to a long, precise finish. Matured in French oak with only a modest proportion of new barrels, the wine balances richness with freshness while preserving the distinctive character of the Limozin vineyard.
Ben's Recommendation: At Wine More Cellars, this is an outstanding choice for lovers of classic Meursault with depth, texture and mineral precision. Pair it with lobster, grilled scallops, roast chicken in a cream sauce, turbot or aged Comté. While already beautifully balanced, it is best enjoyed from 2028 onwards and will continue to evolve gracefully over the next 10–15 years.
