The 2023 Domaine de l'Arlot Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots is a superb Pinot Noir from the celebrated Les Suchots Premier Cru vineyard in Vosne-Romanée, Burgundy. Situated between Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Richebourg and Échézeaux, this exceptional site is regarded as one of the finest Premier Crus in the village. The wine is 100% destemmed, naturally fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for 15 months in French oak, including 40% new barrels. It opens with fragrant aromas of raspberry, Morello cherry and blackcurrant, layered with violet, iris and a touch of white pepper.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with silky tannins, vibrant acidity and a beautifully refined texture. Bright red berry fruit is supported by floral notes, gentle spice and a mineral backbone, leading to a long, elegant finish. Les Suchots is renowned for combining the richness of Vosne-Romanée with remarkable finesse, giving this Premier Cru both immediate appeal and outstanding ageing potential.
