The 2022 Château Mont-Redon Gigondas is a classic Southern Rhône red, built on a Grenache-dominant blend (typically around 70–80%) supported by Syrah and small portions of Mourvèdre. Sourced from limestone slopes around the Dentelles de Montmirail, it reflects the appellation’s hallmark balance of power, spice and freshness.
The nose is expressive and layered, showing kirsch, blackberry and dark cherry, alongside pepper, leather, graphite and garrigue herbs. There is a clear Rhône signature, combining ripe fruit with savoury and earthy complexity.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a structured yet polished texture and ripe, building tannins. Dark fruit, spice and mineral notes are supported by freshness, leading to a long, balanced and savoury finish. The 2022 vintage shows both concentration and classic character, with the ability to age gracefully over the next decade.

At Wine More Cellars, this is a textbook Gigondas that we position as a “step below Châteauneuf-du-Pape but often better value.” Compared to Côtes du Rhône, this is deeper, more structured and more serious; compared to Châteauneuf, it’s slightly more rustic, spice-driven and earthy. It’s ideal for customers who enjoy Rhône blends or GSM but want something with more structure and ageing potential. Drink with decanting now or cellar for 8–12+ years. Perfect with lamb, game, slow-cooked meats or hearty Mediterranean dishes.
