The 2021 Künstler Hochheimer Hölle GG Riesling Trocken is an outstanding VDP Grosses Gewächs from one of Hochheim's most celebrated vineyards. The south-facing Hölle vineyard, with its clay, limestone and loess soils, produces Rieslings of exceptional power, finesse and mineral intensity. Fermented and matured in large old oak casks, the wine opens with captivating aromas of apricot, white peach and citrus blossom layered with flint, chalk and subtle smoky notes. Awarded 99 points by James Suckling, it is one of the standout Rieslings of the vintage.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with remarkable concentration, vibrant acidity and superb mineral drive. Ripe stone fruit and citrus are balanced by a creamy texture and striking saline freshness, flowing into an incredibly long, precise finish.
