The 2021 Albert Mann Riesling Wineck-Schlossberg Grand Cru comes from one of Alsace’s most distinctive Grand Cru sites, a steep granite hillside overlooking Katzenthal. Farmed biodynamically by the Barthelmé family, the vineyard is renowned for producing Rieslings of exceptional purity, minerality and longevity. The challenging 2021 vintage favoured great terroirs, and Wineck-Schlossberg delivered a wine of remarkable precision and elegance.
The nose reveals lime zest, grapefruit, white peach and citrus blossom, alongside subtle herbal and flinty notes. Bone dry and beautifully focused, the palate combines crystalline acidity with intense mineral drive and impressive concentration. Vinous awarded the wine 97 points, describing it as pristine, linear and a superb expression of this legendary Grand Cru site, while James Suckling also praised its concentration, structure and precision.

A world-class Alsace Riesling that showcases the extraordinary potential of the Wineck-Schlossberg vineyard. Taut, mineral and incredibly age-worthy, it pairs beautifully with oysters, scallops, sashimi, lobster and refined Asian cuisine. While already captivating, this is a wine built for the long haul and should evolve magnificently through 2040 and beyond.
