The 2020 Famille Paquet Pouilly-Fuissé Premier Cru Au Vignerais is a 100% Chardonnay from Burgundy’s Mâconnais, grown on the southern slopes of the Roche de Solutré. The nose shows white flowers, citrus and white-fleshed fruit with subtle buttery notes and a precise mineral character.
On the palate, it is full and finely textured, balancing ripe fruit with bright acidity and a distinctive saline finish. The Chardonnay undergoes natural alcoholic and malolactic fermentation before 14 months in oak barrels, including 20% new oak, followed by six months in tank.
