2023 Henry’s Seven is a vibrant Barossa and Eden Valley blend of Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro and a touch of Viognier, offering both richness and aromatic lift. The wine shows a deep crimson colour with violet hues, opening with expressive aromas of blueberry, blackberry, mulberry and satsuma plum, layered with floral hints of violet, lavender and rose petal alongside subtle notes of pepper and baking spice.
On the palate, the wine is supple and medium-to-full bodied, delivering juicy red and blue fruit flavours, touches of anise and white pepper, and gentle savoury complexity. Bright acidity and fine, silky tannins give the wine balance and freshness, carrying through to a long, spicy finish.
Approachable yet structured, the 2023 vintage reflects the classic Barossa GSM style with lifted aromatics from the Viognier and a harmonious interplay between ripe fruit, spice and savoury notes. It pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, charcuterie or slow-roasted meats, and can be enjoyed now or over the next 8–12 years.
