The 2022 Château Closiot Barsac Cuvée Bonneau (375ml) is a beautifully refined and finely balanced sweet wine from one of Barsac’s most exciting small estates. Produced by Clément and Mélanie Fayat from carefully selected botrytised Sémillon grown on the limestone and clay soils of Barsac, the wine combines richness and concentration with remarkable freshness and precision. The nose reveals apricot, preserved lemon and ripe peach layered alongside acacia honey, orange blossom and delicate saffron notes, giving the wine impressive lift and aromatic complexity.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with luscious texture, vibrant natural acidity and a beautifully focused mineral line. Layers of stone fruit, citrus marmalade and honeyed botrytis character are balanced by saline freshness and fine tension, finishing long, elegant and beautifully persistent without excessive heaviness.
