The Pinot Noir was hand harvested from blocks on the Delamere vineyard aged from 24 and 43 years old. In 2024, we included roughly 30% whole bunches in all of the Delamere Pinot ferments. The fruit is fermented in open-top fermenters using hand plunging to extract colour and create the harmnious tannin structure.
This is the Delamere wine that tells you that Delamere is a top producer. It’s balanced, it’s svelte, it’s well-powered and it’s beautiful. It’s of similar quality, in pure terms, to the $130 Block 8 release but I like it a whole lot more. It’s pure Pinot Noir: berried, polished, attractively spiced, inherently tannic but not at the expense of flow and form. Lovely wine, full stop. Quality. - 95 points, Campbell Mattinson
