The 2008 Bouchard Père & Fils Échezeaux Grand Cru is a mature Burgundy Pinot Noir from one of the Côte de Nuits’ renowned Grand Cru vineyards. The nose shows dried cherry, raspberry and red plum with violet, forest floor, leather and subtle spice.
On the palate, it is refined and layered, with fresh acidity, resolved tannins and flavours of mature red fruit, dried herbs and earthy savoury notes. The long bottle development brings depth and complexity to the dry, persistent finish.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is an excellent choice for Burgundy collectors seeking mature Grand Cru Pinot Noir with developed tertiary character. Best enjoyed now or over the next 2–3 years. Pair with roast squab, duck with mushroom jus, venison with juniper or truffle and porcini risotto.
