The 2018 Penley Estate EOS Cabernet Shiraz is a structured Coonawarra red blend combining two classic Australian varieties. The nose shows blackberry, plum and blackcurrant with dried sage, dark chocolate, cedar and savoury oak, reflecting the distinctive character of Coonawarra’s terra rossa soils.
On the palate, it is richly flavoured and concentrated, with layers of red and dark fruit supported by supple acidity and fine, persistent tannins. Savoury spice and oak add depth, leading to a long, structured finish with good bottle-ageing potential.
