2020 Neudorf Home Block Moutere Pinot Noir from Nelson is a flagship, single-vineyard expression showing depth and complexity. The nose is layered and compelling, with aromas of dark cherry, plum and pomegranate, intertwined with spice, floral notes and subtle oak influences such as clove, vanilla and roasted nuts. There is a clear sense of maturity and site, with a slightly darker, more brooding aromatic profile than typical Pinot Noir.

Compared to lighter styles, the Home Block is deeper, more structured and more complex, making it ideal for customers who want a more serious Pinot without going into high-end Burgundy pricing. It’s a great step up from Yarra or entry Burgundy, and works beautifully for customers who appreciate earthy, savoury Pinot styles. Best enjoyed with duck, lamb, mushroom dishes or truffle cuisine, and will continue to evolve over the next 8–12+ years.
