ELDRIDGE ESTATE

Eldridge Estate, now known simply as Eldridge, is a boutique winery situated in Red Hill on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, renowned for producing elegant, terroir-driven Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Gamay. Established in 1984, the estate occupies one of the region's highest vineyard sites, combining mature vines, volcanic soils and a distinctive cool-climate environment.

The vineyard was developed into a respected fine-wine estate by David and Wendy Lloyd, who acquired the property in 1995. David's passion for Burgundy inspired a meticulous approach to viticulture and winemaking, establishing Eldridge as a notable producer of refined Australian Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, alongside distinctive expressions of Gamay.

In 2022, the estate entered a new chapter under Vicki and Elli Tutungi, with acclaimed winemaker Steve Flamsteed and Grace Jiranek guiding its winemaking direction. Their philosophy focuses on preserving the vineyard's heritage while introducing greater precision, freshness and individual terroir expression.

Situated at approximately 225 metres elevation, the three-hectare vineyard features north-facing slopes and deep red volcanic clay soils. Cooling maritime influences and a long growing season encourage gradual ripening, producing wines with vibrant acidity, aromatic complexity and refined structure.

Eldridge Pinot Noir is celebrated for its fragrant red cherry, raspberry, floral notes and delicate savoury complexity, supported by fine tannins and elegant texture. Eldridge Chardonnay combines citrus, white peach and subtle mineral notes with carefully integrated oak and refreshing acidity.

The estate's Gamay is equally distinctive, offering bright red fruit, gentle spice and supple texture, reflecting the variety's natural freshness and the vineyard's exceptional cool-climate conditions.

With its mature vineyards, small production and commitment to thoughtful winemaking, Eldridge continues to represent a compelling expression of Mornington Peninsula fine wine, combining Burgundian inspiration with a distinctive Australian identity.
