A lively and sublime offering. There is a saline, fresh tang of crushed oyster shells that seem to be ubiquitous with Pipers River Chardonnay which is a real treat here. Fresh zesty lemons, crisp green apples, a whisper of praline and a little brioche all combine into a moreish and tasty glass of bubbles. Enjoy a bottle over the summer now if you want to lean into the zing but if you have the patience and the thirst for something a little older, find a good hiding place. - 94 points, Curly Haslam-Coates
