The 2020 Château-Fuissé Famille Vincent Juliénas is a refined and structured Cru Beaujolais from the Juliénas appellation, produced from 100% Gamay by the Vincent family of Château-Fuissé. Better known for their celebrated wines of Pouilly-Fuissé, the family also owns around three hectares of Gamay in Juliénas. The 2020 opens with expressive aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant, layered with peony, subtle spice and earthy mineral notes.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied, generous and beautifully balanced, with juicy red and dark fruit supported by fresh acidity and fine, supple tannins. Raspberry and cherry flavours are complemented by subtle spice, dried herbs and an earthy, mineral character, leading to a persistent and savoury finish. The warmer 2020 vintage gives the wine attractive concentration while retaining the freshness and finesse expected from quality Cru Beaujolais.
