Lucien Le Moine is a small House of Grands Crus in the Beaune region of France. The winery is a two person operation established in1999. Mounir learned and worked in a Trappist Monastery where he discovered Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Lucien le Moine is committed to producing wines of excellent purity. The lees are gently stirred throughout winter in order to nourish the wines, providing the complexity and richness. The malolactic fermentation occurs the following spring. The wines are bottles by gravity with no filtration or pumping, ensuring maximum freshness.
A toasty, spicy style, with vanilla from sweet oak complementing butter and butterscotch, peach and apple tart flavors. This is assertive, yet balanced and firm. The finish holds it back a little today.
