The 2023 Lethbridge Springbank Pinot Noir is sourced from a single vineyard in Bannockburn, planted in 2001 on red clay over limestone and ironstone-rich soils. Crafted by Ray Nadeson and Maree Collis, the wine is hand-picked, wild fermented with around 50% whole bunches and matured in French oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The site is known for producing Pinot Noir with both generosity and structure, and the cool, low-yielding 2023 season delivered exceptional clarity and balance.
The nose offers bright cherry, wild strawberry and spice, complemented by floral notes, dried herbs and subtle earthiness. The palate is silky and finely structured, with pure red fruits, vibrant acidity and refined tannins carrying through a long, savoury finish. The combination of concentration, freshness and mineral drive makes this a particularly elegant expression of Geelong Pinot Noir.
