The 2025 Ravensworth Regional Fiano is sourced entirely from the shale-rich Bit of Heaven Vineyard in the Hilltops region of New South Wales, sitting at 580 metres elevation. Crafted by Bryan Martin, one of Australia’s most respected alternative-variety winemakers, the wine is fermented in a combination of ceramic eggs and older oak demi-muids before resting on lees, building texture while preserving freshness and site expression.
The nose shows pear, lemon blossom, honeysuckle and ginger with hints of salted cashew and fresh herbs. The palate is bright and textural, combining citrus and orchard fruit with vibrant acidity, a subtle saline edge and a gently savoury finish. Mike Bennie awarded the wine 93 points, praising its charm, balance and distinctive texture.
Ben’s Recommendation:
A superb modern Australian Fiano that delivers plenty of flavour and personality without sacrificing freshness. Its bright acidity and savoury finish make it a natural match for grilled prawns, snapper, roast chicken, antipasto and Mediterranean dishes. Enjoy now and over the next 3–5 years while its vibrant fruit and texture are at their best.
