The 2024 Nashdale Lane Colour Series Shiraz is a cool-climate red from Orange, New South Wales, grown at around 850 metres above sea level on red basalt soils. The nose shows dark red and black fruits with distinctive white pepper, subtle spice and earthy notes.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with concentrated dark fruit, fresh acidity and fine, earthy tannins. The wine spends six weeks on skins before ageing for 12 months in French oak puncheons, bringing texture and gentle oak complexity to a smooth, savoury finish.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is a great choice for Shiraz drinkers who enjoy dark fruit, peppery spice and the freshness of a high-altitude, cool-climate style. Enjoy it now or cellar over the next 5–7 years. Ideal with slow-cooked beef, lamb racks, mushroom risotto, grilled meats or root vegetable stews.
