The 2023 Nashdale Lane Colour Series Tempranillo is a cool-climate red from Orange, New South Wales, grown at around 900 metres above sea level on basalt soils. The nose shows ripe plum, black cherry and sour cherry, complemented by blackberry, cedar, clove and subtle tobacco notes.
On the palate, it is medium-bodied with ripe red and dark fruit, moderate acidity and distinctive grippy tannins. Savoury spice, cedar and earthy notes add complexity, leading to a dry, structured finish that retains plenty of fruit character.
Ben’s Recommendation:
At Wine More Cellars, this is a great choice for Tempranillo drinkers who enjoy ripe fruit balanced by savoury spice and firm tannins. Enjoy it now or cellar over the next 4–6 years. Ideal with cured meats, grilled lamb, grilled fish, tomato-based dishes, roasted vegetables or hard cheeses.
