The 2023 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Half Bottle (375ml) is an exceptional Mosel Riesling from the renowned Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard. Made from fully ripe fruit with virtually no botrytis, it combines white peach, grapefruit, lemon and white flowers with tropical hints of mango and pineapple, all framed by the vineyard’s distinctive slate minerality.
On the palate, it is silky and concentrated yet remarkably light, with vibrant acidity balancing the natural Auslese sweetness. A persistent saline, stony character brings precision to the long finish, while the wine sits at just 8% alcohol. It received 97 points from James Suckling and 96 points from both Wine Advocate and Vinous.

At Wine More Cellars, this 375ml half-bottle is a superb choice for Riesling collectors, combining concentrated fruit with the finesse and freshness for which Wehlener Sonnenuhr is famous. Beautiful from 2026, with the potential to develop for several decades. Ideal with spicy Asian dishes, pork belly, pâté, blue cheese or fruit-based desserts.
