The 2023 Benjamin et David Duclaux Condrieu Les Caillets is a superb Viognier from one of the Northern Rhône’s most respected family estates. Sourced from steep granite terraces in the Les Caillets vineyard, the wine is crafted by brothers Benjamin and David Duclaux, whose meticulous vineyard work and restrained winemaking style have earned the domaine a reputation for producing some of the region’s most elegant wines. The wine is aged on lees in oak barrels, adding texture while preserving freshness and site expression.
The nose reveals white peach, apricot, pear and honeysuckle, layered with jasmine, citrus zest and subtle mineral notes. Rich yet beautifully balanced, the palate combines ripe stone fruit with vibrant acidity and a saline, granite-driven finish. Jeb Dunnuck awarded the wine 95 points, while Wine Spectator scored it 93 points, praising its purity, texture and remarkable elegance.

A beautifully poised Condrieu that captures the richness of Viognier without sacrificing freshness or precision. Textural, aromatic and highly refined, it pairs superbly with lobster, scallops, roast chicken, pork loin and creamy seafood dishes. Drinking beautifully now, but it has the balance to evolve gracefully through 2032 and beyond.
