The 2022 Ca'Marcanda Promis Toscana IGP is an elegant Super Tuscan from Angelo Gaja's renowned Ca'Marcanda estate in Bolgheri. A blend of 55% Merlot, 35% Syrah and 10% Sangiovese, the fruit is sourced from vineyards in Bolgheri and Bibbona before each variety is fermented separately and matured for 12 months in French oak. The nose is vibrant and expressive, revealing black cherry, plum and blackberry layered with cinnamon, star anise, Mediterranean herbs and subtle smoky spice.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with silky tannins, fresh acidity and beautifully integrated oak. Juicy dark berry fruit is complemented by savoury herbs, gentle spice and a distinctive saline minerality, leading to a long, polished finish with impressive balance and finesse.
