The 2022 Eldorado Road Perseverance Old Vine Shiraz is a distinctive Glenrowan Shiraz sourced from dry-grown vines planted in the late 1800s. The nose shows plum, black cherry and boysenberry with lifted florals, cracked pepper, dried herbs and graphite, reflecting the concentration and savoury character of these historic vines.
On the palate, it is concentrated yet finely balanced, with dark fruit, fresh acidity and firm, well-integrated tannins. A small amount of Ugni Blanc is co-fermented with the Shiraz before 18 months maturation in French oak on full lees, adding texture and complexity while retaining freshness.
