2022 Domaine de la Combe Muscadet Reserve Personnelle is a classic Loire Valley white from the Muscadet Sevre-et-Maine Sur Lie AOP, crafted from 100% Melon de Bourgogne. Produced by Domaine de la Combe in Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine, the wine comes from old vines averaging over 60 years old, giving it additional depth and mineral character. The wine shows aromas of yellow apple, citrus and delicate fennel, with a distinctive flinty minerality typical of Muscadet. On the palate it is fresh and savoury, offering crisp acidity, orchard fruit and a gentle texture supported by mineral complexity from old-vine fruit.
This cuvee is aged around 14 months on lees ("sur lie"), which adds additional texture and complexity while maintaining the bright, coastal freshness that Muscadet is known for.
