The 2022 La Côte Lascombes is the inaugural vintage of a rare single-parcel red from Château Lascombes in Margaux, Bordeaux, made entirely from Merlot grown on distinctive clay-limestone soils with veins of blue clay. The nose shows ripe red and dark fruits with floral notes, sweet spice, graphite and subtle mineral complexity.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated with a dense, velvety texture, juicy saline acidity and refined tannins. Gentle infusion-style vinification followed by 18–20 months in oak barrels, foudres and amphorae adds depth while preserving freshness, leading to a long, structured and mineral-driven finish.
