The 2022 Alkoomi Icon Jarrah Shiraz is a powerful, cellar-worthy red from Frankland River in Western Australia, produced from some of Alkoomi’s oldest estate vines. The nose shows dark cherry and red berries with cardamom, cocoa, seasoned leather and subtle savoury spice.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured with concentrated berry fruit, firm tannins and balanced acidity. Extended skin contact and 19 months in French oak, including one-third new oak, bring notes of toasted hazelnut, cocoa and spice, leading to a long, savoury finish.
