The 2021 Stefano Lubiana Single Block La Roccia Pinot Noir is a highly distinctive single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the Derwent Valley in southern Tasmania. La Roccia is a 1.5-hectare north-eastern facing block overlooking the Derwent River, characterised by terra rossa soils over clay and limestone bedrock. It is typically the most structured of Stefano Lubiana’s single-block Pinot Noirs, with lower-vigour vines and greater sun exposure contributing depth, intensity and firm natural structure. The estate is farmed biodynamically, with the individual blocks vinified in the same manner to highlight their differences in terroir.
